CSW66 Kick-Off Meeting

Date: 13-12-2021
Time: 15.00 – 17.30
Location: online

What can we expect at the upcoming UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) meeting that will take place March 14 - 25, 2022? And what do we want to achieve from civil society in the Netherlands at this upcoming UN meeting?

We will discuss the latest updates and state of affairs with members of the delegation from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and Foreign Affairs (BZ) and former and new CSW NGO representatives. Your questions can be addressed in detail here.

There will be short presentations with relevant information and proposals for recommendations on the main themes of this 66th CSW: gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environment, and disaster mitigation.

In this meeting, we will provide as much opportunity as possible for participants to ask questions and add insights and knowledge to the conversation. At the conclusion, a timeline will be shared with next steps for staying actively involved in the CSW.

We would have liked to host this meeting physically or hybridly (a combination of physical and digital) but given the corona situation, it will take place entirely online.
