On Thursday, April 17, we will look back at the past UN Women's Summit (or CSW: Commission on the Status of Women) to discuss outcomes, trends and future expectations. We will do this together with Dutch CSW delegation members from the Ministries of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and Foreign Affairs (BZ) and of course with our CSW NGO representative, Quirine Lengkeek of Mondiaal-FNV.
Background:
From March 10 - 21, 2025, the 69th UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and the "celebration” of 30 years of the Beijing agenda took place in New York. It was a complicated and turbulent process because of the geopolitical relations in the world right now and further restrictions on civil society access to the CSW in New York.
