Equal=Different: Achieving gender equality requires a change in the system

The progression of women's rights is slow, also in the Netherlands. According to the World Economic Forum, it will take at least another 100 years to close the gap between women and men in political, economic and social terms. At the same time, laws and policies that promote gender equality are being fought for and even overturned by a globally active conservative opposition.
