Coffee meeting with the delegation of the Libyan Minister of Women's Affairs

NAP 1325 signatories and WO=MEN members are cordially invited to a coffee meeting with a delegation of women politicians from Libya, ao the Libyan Minister of Women’s Affairs. Dr Houria Al-Tarmal and the other members of the delegation -amongst others a member of Parliament and members of the Network of Elected Women (WEON)- are eager to meet with the Dutch NAP 1325 community and members of WO=MEN to exchange lessons learned on women's rights and women's meaningful participation in political decision making and security processes. The visit to WO=MEN is part of a study visit organized by VNG International.  
 
When: 28 November 2023 10:00-11:00hrs (9:30 walk-in)
Location: WO=MEN Office, Korte Poten 9B, 2511 EB The Hague 
(7 minutes walk from The Hague Central Station)  
 
During the coffee meeting we will:  
  1. Introduce Dr. Huria Al-Tarmal to the work of Dutch civil society and women's movement 
  2. Exchange experiences on how the Dutch women’s rights movement connects with and supports the global women's rights movement, including women human rights defenders in conflict affected countries 
  3. Discuss the women's right's situation in Libya, including women’s health and economic position
