[CSW70] Building Community-Driven Access to Justice for Women

This CSW70 NGO Forum parallel event is organised by Femmes for Freedom.  
 
Access to justice remains uneven, especially for women from marginalised communities. In the Netherlands, new community-based women’s legal aid centres have emerged to bridge this gap. Run by NGOs and supported by trained law students, these grassroots initiatives provide free, accessible legal support while empowering women who are often overlooked by formal systems. They also generate crucial insights into the lived realities of women’s rights at local and national levels.
 
In this session, the Utrecht Women’s Legal Aid Centre and legal experts will share their model and inspire replication in other contexts.
