[CSW70] The Road to Madrid: Powering Momentum for Feminist Foreign Policy

Date: 11-03-2026
Time: 8:30 - 10:00 hrs (New York time)
Location: UN Church Center (2nd Floor), New York

This workshop at the CSW70 NGO Forum is jointly organized by Global Partner Network for Feminist Foreign Policy members: The African Women’s Development and Communication Network (FEMNET), Equipop, and Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative.

This workshop will feature a series of discussions, in preparation for the 5th Ministerial Conference on Feminist Foreign Policy and Gender Equality. The Ministerial Conference, hosted by the Government of Spain, will be held in Madrid on June 2-3, 2026.

This event will include three discussions with government and civil society speakers, followed by a workshop session with the audience. Speakers will explore: the progress and evolution of the annual FFP Ministerial Conferences, key issues and thematic priorities (with a focus on financing for gender equality and the women, peace and security agenda), and accountability and civil society participation.

This workshop will aim to foster greater collaboration within the Global Partner Network, encourage transnational and cross-sectoral solidarity around the FFP agenda, and sustain momentum in the lead up to and following the Ministerial Conference.
