15:50 – 16:00 How corporate engagement can further the feminist foreign policy agenda
The private sector plays a crucial role in actioning our trade and aid agenda, including the strategy around the feminist foreign policy. Women Win believes in the power of partnership between CSOs and the private sector for advancing women's economic empowerment and has been supporting CSOs globally to influence the corporate agenda and co-create impactful interventions in partnership with businesses. We also know that cross-sectoral collaboration is not always easy. This workshop focuses on exploring the potential of collaborating with the private sector, offers practical tools, and demonstrates how this can effectively support Gender-Responsive Human Rights Due Diligence.

16:00 – 16:15 Group discussion on the benefits of cross-sectoral partnerships
What are your experiences with corporate engagement? What are things that come to mind when thinking about corporate engagement? What benefits do you see in cross-sectoral partnerships?

16:10 – 16:25 Presentation on the Feminist Partnership Principles and the 7-step process of pre-corporate engagement
We understand that partnerships can be tricky, especially when two vastly different organisations with different mandates and expertise come together in order to facilitate the realisation of a common goal. In the context of promotion of women’s leadership within the private sector, this challenge is as alive as ever with more and more partnerships emerging between organisations of diverse mandates, priorities, revenue structures, and political beliefs. This tool presents the different elements to keep in mind when engaging with external partners in order to facilitate the promotion of women’s leadership within the workplace.

This exercise helps you determine what unique value your organisation could bring to a cross-sectoral partnership.
