Special Online General Assembly

We will have a special (extra) General Assembly meeting on 31 August 2026, 16.30 - 17.30 hours. The link to participate will be shared with members who have registered to attend. 

 

 

 

Our articles of association urgently need to be amended for three reasons:  

1. WO=MEN has been trying for three years to obtain observer status at the UNFCCC (the Climate Summit). Observer status will enable our Climate Project Leader, Eva Colombo, to better monitor climate agreements for gender equity. A new requirement is that we must be able to demonstrate in our articles of association that WO=MEN – despite receiving government funding – is independent of any government interference. We have until 1 October to adapt our articles of association accordingly, as other statements to confirm this were not deemed sufficient.

2. Under the Act on the Management and Supervision of Legal Entities (WBTR), we must include a provision in the articles of association in the event that the entire Supervisory Board is unable to fulfil its duties.  

3. There are minor irregularities in the current amended articles of association. We are asking the notary to review these immediately.

 

If you are unable to attend, we request you to please authorise another WO=MEN to vote on your behalf. It is important for us to have enough members represented and voting in order to reach quorum for the decision to count. To authorise another member, please contact Sandra at info@wo-men.nl.
