In 2006, among others, organisations Oxfam Novib, Hivos, Cordaid and ICCO joined forces to raise the profile of gender equality on the agenda of development cooperation and strengthen the position of women and girls. From this coalition emerged WO=MEN Dutch gender platform.
Twenty years later we have grown into a unique platform that keeps gender equality on the agenda within comprehensive foreign policy, such as policy related to safety and climate. National and worldwide. We will celebrate that together! We look back at what we achieved, and ahead at what is still necessary. Because we are far from done.
Whether you have been involved with WO=MEN for years or just discovered us: everyone is welcome. Member or no member. Be sure to bring anyone along who is interested!
