Jantien Kingma (30) sees that there is still a lot to be done when it comes to gender equality. As a communications officer at WO=MEN, she brings her mission to the attention of politicians.
"It took a while before I realized that equality between men and women has not been achieved in all areas in the Netherlands, either. Just look at politics: only a third are women. And women who raise women's rights get a comment all over them! It can also be said very fiercely 'that we are already there?' I am also very happy that I was born in the Netherlands. I have been able to study, I work, I am financially independent. But we aren't there yet."
