Chantal Korteweg is Dutch UN Women Representative 2023 and Director Inclusive Banking at ABN AMRO. Earlier this year, in knowledge session 1, we heard from her about banks and gender financial (in)equality. Click here to watch the presentation again.

As UN Women Representative, Chantal Korteweg spoke on financial inclusion at the UN General Assembly on 4 October 2023. Watch her speech here (from 13:53min).

The UN Women Representative is elected every year by the Dutch Women's Council (Nederlandse Vrouwenraad, NVR). If you want to know more about this, you can read about it on the Dutch Women's Council website. Also take a look at this blog by Enaam Ahmed Ali, in which she explains exactly how the UN General Assembly works.
