Gender(on)gelijkheid & Klimaatverandering in Nederland

Date: 17-11-2021
Time: 14:00 uur tot 16:30 uur
Location: Online and in Social Impact Factory, Vredenburg 40, Utrecht

Atria and WO=MEN would like to invite you to the meeting 'gender (in)equality & climate change in the Netherlands' on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.  (Meeting in Dutch)

Various experts and interested parties from science, NGOs and government come together to share knowledge about the relationship between climate change and gender (in)equality in the Netherlands. The impact of the climate crisis is not the same for everyone. Women, girls and vulnerable groups are hit earlier and harder by the effects of climate change, also in the Netherlands.

Together we address the following questions: Does Dutch climate policy actually take gender into account? Where are the biggest risks and opportunities? How about the representation of women in, for example, the sustainable technologies sector and in decision-making?  How can we benefit from existing international knowledge and agreements?

This meeting precedes the preparations for the 66th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), which will take place in March 2022. This UN conference is dedicated to gender equality in the context of climate change, environment and disaster mitigation.

There is the option to participate on-site or online.
