Youth, Peace and Secrurity - A programming handbook

09-03-2021
The   YPS Programming Handbook  provides comprehensive guidance on implementation of youth-sensitive peace and security
The Handbook aims at supporting the implementation of the YPS agenda by UN field practitioners, but it should be of use to other organizations working on field programming. It provides step-by-step guidance for youth-sensitive and youth-inclusive peace and security programming, through the programmatic cycle: conflict analysis, theories of change, outcomes and indicators, M&E. It also provides a detailed list of programmatic entry points under the five pillars, with concrete examples.
We also invite you to consider to use the Handbook in training, induction packages etc.  You can also visit the UN website on peacebuilding  the link is:  https://www.un.org/peacebuilding/policy-issues-and-partnerships/policy/youth.
The Handbook is a joint product of UNDP, UNFPA, PBSO/DPPA and the Folke Bernadotte Academy. It has tremendously benefited from inputs from members of the Global Coalition on Youth, Peace and Security, as well as a dedicated Task Force.
