A critical look at the IPCC reports from a gender and rights perspective EN|SP|FR

Datum: 06-09-2022
Tijd: 13:00 - 15:00 UTC
Locatie: Online

We are pleased to invite you all to a webinar on Tuesday, September 6 at 13:00 - 15:00 UTC  where we will take a critical look at the most recent IPCC reports from a gender and rights perspective.
The IPCC reports, especially those related to Land Use, Adaptation and Mitigation, have pointed out that support for gender- just community conservation and restoration of forests and other ecosystems, including through the recognition of land tenure rights, is one of the most effective ways to mitigate climate change.

Therefore, during this webinar, experts will demystify and explain key IPCC issues related to land, forests, climate change and Indigenous Peoples and local communities rights but also some of the false solutions being put forward through the increasing corporate capture of climate policy-making.
We will also take this opportunity to launch our new video showcasing gender just and community- governed initiatives to protect forests, biodiversity and their livelihoods and being implemented by our member groups.
