Exchange Sessions on Disability Inclusion

Datum: 01-02-2022
Tijd: 10.00 - 12.00 CET
Locatie: The first and third meet-ups are online. The second meet-up will be live.

On behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, We Are Able! Consortium and the Dutch Coalition on Disability and Development (DCDD)

WHAT | An important part of strengthening civil society is making space for and amplifying the voices of persons with disabilities to be heard, in society as well as in the design of development programmes. In collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Partos would like to invite CSO partners to get together for a series of meet-ups in which we are going to exchange and explore the most effective ways to make disability inclusion happen. Partos will be sharing tools for disability inclusive programming, facilitate in-country connections and exchange experiences on inclusive advocacy. The specific learning agenda will be developed based on inputs from all participants. Please register your interest to join! Then Partos will get in touch with you for further details.

WHO | For consortia who receive funding under the Strengthening Civil Society (SCS) framework (incl. Power of Voices, Power of Women, SRHR partnerships, WPS programs, Voice, Leading from the South). Your programme may either already have an (intersectional) disability focus, or you may want to learn more about how to include this perspective. Max 5 participants per consortium can join the meet-ups, including partners from the South.

WHEN | The first meet-up is on February 1st, 2022, at 10.00 – 12.00 CET. In total three meet-ups will be organised next year. Depending on interest, the series will be continued in subsequent years.

WHERE | The first and third meet-ups are online. The second meet-up will be live.

Language: The first meet-up is in English (including English live captions). If needed, we will happily facilitate additional languages in subsequent meet-ups.
