Pillars for Peace: Key recommendations to ensure women’s participation in promoting and maintaining peace in Colombia, Myanmar & Burundi.

Datum: 21-10-2022
Tijd: 13.00 - 14.30 EDT
Locatie: UK Mission to the UN

Please join us at this panel event where speakers from Colombia, Myanmar and women's rights organisations will be providing reflections and discussing their work on how they support women's participation in peace.

Speakers will also draw the link between rapid response funding mechanisms and long-term capacity building and programming, exploring how these different approaches can feed into each other to promote the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325.

We will also be launching a summary report building on the LEAP4Peace Pillars for Peace report published last year which examined the role that women have played in negotiating and maintaining peace, and provided key recommendations based on the lessons learned.

The event will be moderated by Anne-Floor Dekker, Programme Manager Gender Peace and Security, WO=MEN Dutch Gender Platform.
