Join us for a webinar on new research into the impact of the Gender Chapter in the EU-Chile Trade Agreement, the first EU trade agreement with a dedicated Gender Chapter. The research by WO=MEN Dutch Gender Platform examines how these commitments affect women in practice, particularly rural, Indigenous and seasonal agricultural workers, as well as women-led microenterprises in Chile. It explores how gender-related provisions can influence economic opportunities, rights, and working conditions, and offers concrete policy recommendations to strengthen implementation and accountability.
During the webinar we will present key findings and policy recommendations, followed by perspectives from women working in Chile’s horticulture, agriculture and mining sectors. A representative of the European Union will reflect on the implications for EU trade policy and ongoing efforts to strengthen the Gender Chapter.
This webinar offers a unique opportunity to connect evidence, policy, and practice, and to engage in a timely conversation on how trade agreements can better contribute to inclusive and gender-responsive sustainable development. Please register for the webinar here.
