Workshop Meaningful Participation in Practice

Datum: 23-09-2025
Tijd: 13:00-15:00 CET
Locatie: BAK Utrecht, Pauwstraat 13a

New Women Connectors is hosting the second event in the framework of our W-STAR project, which is centered around the civic and political participation of women with a migration or refugee background. In this project, we focus on women and gender-diverse individuals, but everyone is welcome to attend and be a part of the workshop and discussion.

This interactive workshop is on ‘Meaningful Participation in Practice’ - a workshop that moves beyond rhetoric to explore what meaningful participation truly means for migrant and refugee women in advocacy, policy, and community action. Together, we’ll reflect on lived experiences, unpack systemic barriers, and co-create practical recommendations to strengthen our influences.

We have two exciting guests joining us: OpenEmbassy and the Municipality of Almere (Opvang Oekraïne Gemeente Almere) will do a sharing session on best practices around participation!

We are also sharing some of our findings from the event on the 4th of June.
